
The YMCA offers a variety of training and certifications such as first aid, CPR, and lifeguard skills for ALL ages. Our first aid course is designed to provide participants with the skills and confidence to act quickly in medical emergency situations. You will learn how to treat children and adults for certain illnesses, muscle and bone injuries, environmental emergencies, and more. The CPR course provides training for basic life-saving skills such as chest compressions, rescue breathing, and choking relief. Participants will also learn how to use an AED. This course will give you the knowledge and confidence to respond effectively in emergency situations. Our lifeguard skills course is designed to provide participants the knowledge and skills necessary to be a lifeguard and professional rescuer. Participants will be certified in American Safety and Health Institute’s (ASHI) courses: CPR Pro (BLS) for the Professional Rescuer, Basic First Aid for the Community, and Emergency Oxygen Administration.
