When choosing childcare, consider factors like:
Look for a place that aligns with your child's needs, promotes a supportive atmosphere, and prioritizes open communication between caregivers and parents.
Visiting the facility, reviewing their policies, and understanding their commitment to your child's well-being are essential steps in finding the right childcare.
The ideal age to start preschool is typically around 3 years old, as children begin to develop social and cognitive skills.
However, it's essential to note that preschool and childcare serve distinct purposes. While preschool focuses on early education, childcare provides a nurturing environment for children from infancy.
Starting childcare at an earlier age can offer benefits like socialization and routine, laying a foundation for a smooth transition to preschool when they're developmentally ready, typically around age 3 or 4.
The Voluntary Prekindergarten Education Program (VPK) prepares early learners for success in kindergarten and beyond. VPK helps build a strong foundation for school using educational material corresponding to various stages in a child’s development.
