The Central Florida Zoo & Botanical Gardens is proud to honor those who serve our country. In celebration of Veterans Day, all veterans and active military members will receive free admission to the Zoo Saturday, Nov. 7, through Wednesday, Nov. 11. This annual tradition is our way of saying thank you to the brave men and women who have served and continue to serve. Make it a day to remember with family and friends! Veterans can also enjoy a buy-one-get-one offer for up to six additional tickets (three purchased, three free) during the same period.
The Zoo is home to 300+ animals representing over 150 species, from tiny, yet mighty, scorpions, to graceful giraffes and even the rarest cat in the world, the Amur leopard. Meet some of our planet’s rarest animals like the endangered one-horned rhino, and get to know the species in your own backyard a bit better, including the Florida black bear and American alligator. Families will love to explore our Barnyard Buddies Children’s Petting Zoo, where children have a chance to feed and interact with pygmy goats, a llama, and more. You can even feed a giraffe or meet an Indian rhinoceros, and cool off at the Wharton-Smith Tropical Splash Ground.
