High Point Climbing & Fitness's Top Rope Belay Class

This class is a great option if you are new to climbing or need a refresher on belaying. This is also a great option for family members who would like to belay for each other. The minimum age to learn to belay is 11 and children under 14 years old must take the class with a parent. Successful completion of the class allows participants to climb for the remainder of the day using their new skills. On the next visit participants will be tested to confirm that the information has been retained. Belaying is the process of securing and safeguarding a climber by using a rope to catch a climber if they fall.
The cost of the class includes all equipment needed to participate in the class: Climbing Shoes, Belay Harness, and Belay Device! Non-members receive a two week membership with gear rental included after taking the class! This means fitness classes, fitness equipment, yoga, showers, and anything else at the gym!
Classes are held every Mon, Wed, Fri from 7-9pm but spaces can fill up quickly so check calendar each week!
