Give your young performer one last standing ovation before the school year begins! Held during the final weekend before Orange County Public Schools return for the fall, this exciting one-day musical theatre workshop is the perfect way to squeeze in one more unforgettable summer adventure while parents finish those last-minute back-to-school errands. Students will spend the day exploring the fundamentals of acting, singing, and dancing while learning the basics of character development, vocal technique, and musical theatre choreography. Along the way, they'll play high-energy theater and improv games, collaborate with new friends who share their passion for performing, and discover the excitement of bringing stories to life on stage.
Led by Dr. Phillips Center's professional teaching artists—including performers from Central Florida's vibrant theater community, Walt Disney World and Universal Orlando entertainment, and collegiate musical theatre artists—this workshop offers an inspiring introduction to the high-quality arts education experiences available through Dr. Phillips Center.
The day culminates in a special 10-minute showcase where family and friends are invited to cheer on their performers and celebrate everything they've accomplished together.
