City of Winter Park’s Memorial Day Events

  • When: Saturday, May 23, 2026, 11:00 am -  4:00 pm
  • Location: Multiple Locations Winter Park, FL, 32789
  • Cost: FREE

Join us in front of Winter Park City Hall as we provide a special tribute to United States military personnel who have died in the line of duty. The event will include an official flag-raising ceremony with a guest speaker and musical tributes. Cold beverages and light snacks will be provided.

Following the City’s Memorial Day flag-raising ceremony, we invite you to gather at the Winter Park History Museum for lemonade, cookies, conversation and a first look at this collaborative community exhibit. Join us as we open our special pop-up exhibit America 250 at, the Winter Park History Museum, commemorating the 250th anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence.

Explore Winter Park’s Revolutionary War connections through displays from the Daughters of the American Revolution, discover how Independence Day was celebrated during WWII with the WWII Veterans History Project, and view a Winter Park High School film inspired by themes of freedom and unity. The exhibit also features colonial-style clothing, a community art installation, and an opportunity to write letters to active-duty service members.
