The City of Sanford Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Celebration Steering Committee, Inc. proudly presents the 39th Annual Celebration and Memorial Observance. This year’s theme is “Honoring the Legacy, Inspiring the Future.” We invite you to join us in celebrating the lives and contributions of our pioneers, whose path we now walk, while passing the torch to the younger generation to carry the mission forward.
The Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. parade scheduled for Monday, January 19, 2026, in the Goldsboro community begins at Crooms Academy of Information Technology High School, 2200 Historic Goldsboro Boulevard (formerly West 13th Street) Sanford, Florida, at 10:00 a.m.
The festival attracts a large crowd, estimated at 2,500 – 3,000 people, with various activities: entertainment, food vendors, merchandise vendors, and food trucks.
