  • Location: Magnolia Park: 2929 S Binion Rd, Apopka, FL 32703

Orange County Mayor Jerry L. Demings and District 2 Commissioner Christine Moore invite you to the Lake Apopka Connector Trail Grand Opening on Saturday, February 28, at 10 a.m. at Magnolia Park, 2929 S. Binion Road, Apopka. Work for this $10 million project included constructing a 10- to 14-foot-wide shared-use path with a boardwalk section from Magnolia Park on Binion Road and the new Wynwood subdivision on McCormick Road for a total distance of 4.46 miles.

When completed in early 2026, this phase will provide the connection from the West Orange Trail to the Lake Apopka Loop Trail, stretching through Apopka and Ocoee, from our Clarcona Horse Park to Magnolia Park. When Lake County completes one other project later in 2026, the trail loop around Lake Apopka will be complete, connecting the Lake Apopka Loop Trail, the West Orange Trail, the South Lake Trail and the Green Mountain Scenic Overlook in Lake County.
