  • Location: 26 E King St., Orlando, FL, 32804

Transform learning into an adventure with hands-on field trips that inspire a love for healthy, whole foods! Students explore the journey from garden to kitchen, discovering seasonal ingredients, cultural cuisines, and creative ways to add more plants to their plates. These interactive experiences combine gardening, cooking, and fun activities to spark curiosity, teach essential skills, and promote a lifelong appreciation for nutritious eating. Perfect for independent learners, these trips provide the flexibility to meet their interests while fostering peer connections and new discoveries.

Let’s explore food history as we celebrate James Hemings, the first American trained as a French chef and a true culinary pioneer. In this hands-on class, students will learn about Hemings’ extraordinary journey—from his training in Paris under French masters to bringing refined European cooking techniques to early America. Students will dive into the history of 18th-century kitchens, foodways of early America, and the impact Hemings had on American cuisine.
