Kick off the Halloween season with a thrilling, hands-on STEM workshop designed for kids ages 5 to 16! In this hour and a half experience, young makers will create not one—but two—spine-tingling take-home projects: a glowing fiber-optic light and a batch of custom creepy slime. First, kids will dive into the world of circuits as they learn the basics of electrical design. With guided instruction, they’ll build their very own fiber-optic light featuring color-changing LEDs, fiber optics, and a spooky scene of their own design—perfect for lighting up the spooky season. Then it’s time to get gooey! Participants will explore the chemistry behind slime before mixing, tinting, and decorating their own batch with Halloween-themed bugs and glitter. It’s messy, magical, and full of scientific discovery.
