Take a stroll among the trees and let a story unfold around you! Join the Orange County Library for a StoryWalk®—where the pages of a book guide your path through nature. As you wander, you’ll experience a tale that brings the forest to life, blending words with the world around you. After the journey, stick around for a hands-on activity with our Park Naturalists! You'll get up close with tree rings, leaves, and bark to uncover the secrets hidden in Florida’s woody plants. Learn how to identify different species, understand their role in the ecosystem, and appreciate the beauty that goes far beyond the surface!
Bill Frederick Park covers 183 acres of land alongside Turkey Lake, one of the top-five rated fishing lakes in the state of Florida. Whether you want to bring your bike to explore the park trails, spend the afternoon fishing, or experience all the Children’s Farm, playground and Nature Connect Trail have to offer, you won’t have a problem finding things to do. Bill Frederick Park is home to premier disc golf courses and boasts one of the top-five fishing lakes in the state of Florida. The park is designed for nature lovers and provides families, organizations and community groups with several recreational activities and scenic views.
