History Center's History Alive

From arid plains to swampy wetlands, Central Florida’s natural environment has seen many changes. Dig into Florida’s natural history with guided museum tours and family-friendly activities, including: Archeological Dig Puzzle, Cypress Circles, and Florida Plant & Animal Matching Game. The History Center is home to the Historical Society of Central Florida’s collection of more than 35,000 artifacts, photographs, and archival materials documenting the rich heritage of our region. Ongoing exhibits include pioneers, theme-park era, destination Florida, Native American's, natural environment, and so much more to explore, touch, and see. Bring your 4-year-old or your high schooler – they are sure to have a great time with our hands-on activities and projects! We also offer homeschool program, school field trips, in-class supplies, and much more!
