History Center's History Alive

What do Zora Neale Hurston, Bob Ross, and John Young have in common? They all called Central Florida home! Learn about these famous Floridians and the impact they had not only on Central Florida but on the world. The event features family-friendly activities and guided tours. Activities include: Zora Neale Hurston Typewriter – Try your hand at writing a poem the old-fashioned way on this vintage typewriter, Bob Ross Paintings – Use oil pastels to create your own artwork inspired by the style of Bob Ross, and John Young Space Explorers – Test your zero gravity skills using NASA boxes designed to mimic real astronaut training.
