City of Apopka's Celebrating Legends Event

Join us at this free event, as the Apopka Youth Council honors twenty-eight legends that paved the way for so many in our community. Volume 3 Celebrating Legends of Apopka booklet will also be available for purchase at this event. In February 2025, the Apopka Youth Council and the Museum of the Apopkans will be partnering together for this year’s Black History Month Book Project. This collaboration will celebrate and recognize those whose contributions have left an impact on Apopka and surrounding areas.

This event will include:

- Presentation from the Apopka Youth Council to honor the 2025 Legends and their families
- A Special Proclamation by Mayor Bryan Nelson
- Special Music
- Reception for Attendees
