Be a Victorian Era Architect at our Homeschool Day at the Waterhouse Residence & Carpentry Shop Museums! Step back in time and discover the Victorian era of the Waterhouse Family! Learn about architecture in the 1880's and explore the tools Mr. Waterhouse used to build the Waterhouse Residence in our Carpentry Shop Museum. Students will go on a scavenger hunt as they explore the architecture details outside the Waterhouse Residence and then become an architect by using different drawing tools and sketching their own Victorian era home. Students will round out their day by making a silhouette in a frame, a popular way to capture the image of a person or animal during the Victorian period!
