Kelly Park's annual Cardboard Canoe Regatta returns! As part of your park admission fee on Saturday, January 18, you can watch participants as they build canoes from 8:30 a.m. to 12 p.m., using only cardboard and duct tape provided by the park's staff on event day. Teams race their canoes in the clear, chilly 68-degree waters of Rock Springs beginning at 1 p.m., with prizes awarded to Race Winner, Crowd Favorite and Most Spectacular Sinking!
Rock Springs at Kelly Park in Apopka is Central Florida's natural lazy river. Rock Springs produces 26,000 gallons of crystal clear water every minute. Kelly Park features a free-flowing natural spring (68 degrees year round), full-service concession, picnic pavilions and playground. Tent and RV camping are available at this park.
