From arid plains to swampy wetlands, Central Florida’s natural environment has seen many changes. Dig into Florida’s natural history with guided museum tours and family-friendly activities and guided museum tours. Activities include: Archeological dig puzzle: Learn about items important to Indigenous communities such as arrowheads, pots, and more as you dig through the sand pit and put the pieces together. Cypress Circles: Cypress trees provide shelter for animals and protect our coasts. Unlock the mystery of how to tell a cypress tree’s age, using real slices of tree trunks. Florida Plant & Animal Matching Game: Panthers, alligators, and manatees – oh my! Play this game to learn about Central Florida’s native animals while earning prizes.
