History Center’s History Alive: Juan Ponce de León & the Fountain of Youth

Juan Ponce de León discovered Florida in search of the fountain of youth – or did he? Explore his life and legacy as a figure of historical significance in the early exploration of Florida. Enjoy activities for the whole family and get an up-close look at some artifacts from our collection. Guided tours of the museum will be offered at 11:30 a.m. and 1 pm.

The History Center is home to the Historical Society of Central Florida’s collection of more than 35,000 artifacts, photographs, and archival materials documenting the rich heritage of our region. Bring your 4-year-old or your high schooler – they are sure to have a great time with our hands-on activities and projects! We also offer homeschool program, school field trips, in-class supplies, and much more!
