City of Maitland’s Dog Days of Summer

Celebrate the Dog Days of Summer from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 25, at Maitland’s Independence Square. Bring your favorite furry family members for a day of fun with vendors, crafts and activities. Learn about adoptions and meet new friends from Orange County Animal Services and local pet rescue organizations. The University of Central Florida Police Department canine team will present explosive-sniffing demonstrations. Meet officers from the Maitland Police Department. Set the kiddos loose on the inflatable bounce house and slides. Prizes for the best dressed canines. Kids’ musician Mr. Harley will perform live in the park, courtesy of Performing Arts Matter. Browse the Maitland Farmer’s Market for a unique selection of vendors with food, crafts, local products, plants, flowers and produce.
