It’s hard to believe, we are celebrating the 15th Annual Hannibal Square Heritage Center Folk and Urban Art Festival! Enjoy a one-day celebration of Central Florida artisans, live performances, free children’s folk-art workshops, and community resources. We welcome artists of all mediums and traditional crafts including functional and non-functional ceramics, pottery and woodcraft. Hannibal Square Heritage Center pays tribute, to the past, present and future contributions of West Winter Park’s African American community through a permanent collection of historic photographs, oral histories and public art.

This is a free festival held outdoors in Shady Park directly across from the Hannibal Square Heritage Center. The festival highlights our community of emerging visual artists and their art-work; a full line-up of live entertainment to include: African Dancing and Drumming, a free Senior Art project led by local artist Phylis Taylor a scavenger hunt in Shady Park for students of all ages, food vendors and so much more! The Heritage Center will be open for guests to tour the permanent collection and the featured visiting exhibition featuring photos of West Winter Park in the mid 1990’s by Documentary Photographer, Peter Schreyer. These images and oral stories were unveiled for the first time in January 2024.
