Día del Amigo or Friends Day is a worldwide celebration that honors international friendship. Whether your friends are near or far, come and celebrate with us in Lake Nona on July 27th. There will be a Latin DJ, food trucks, Park Pizza Bar, and more in Town Center. Together, we will enjoy good times with food, drinks, music and entertainment. Long celebrated in many South American countries, Día del Amigo was originally inspired by the historical achievement of mankind landing on the moon on July 20, 1969. Since that time, countries have designated unique celebration dates. Friendships are universal. Friends enrich our lives in many ways. Friendships help us find purpose and meaning, stay healthy and live longer. Friendships supersede differences and builds bridges among cultures, countries and ideologies. Día del Amigo/Friends Day celebrates the importance of these connections and encourages everyone to promote kindness and togetherness. We are better together. Together we will inspire a more peaceful culture through friendship.
BOXI Park opens at 5 PM and will have FRIENDS TV Show themed trivia. Boxi Park is a Family fun, live entertainment, outdoor laid back gatherings with a changing variety of chef-driven food concepts offering tasty bites and refreshing sips. There is also a sand volleyball court, playgrounds, and plenty of fun for children around the park! At times they have characters, face-painters, arts/crafts vendors all set up on the weekends as well. Our outdoor counter-serve restaurants, designed specifically for Boxi Park, feature cuisine created by world-class chefs with Michelin-rated restaurant experience. Bring your pup to Boxi! We welcome dogs of all sizes to roam free in our fenced in dog park
