Backyard Biodiversity Day celebrates diversity in the landscape, and provides opportunities to learn about Florida’s native plants, pollinators, wildlife, and why they are important. This free and family-friendly event includes environmentally conscious vendors, educational presentations, Interpretive hikes focusing on pollinator insects, edible plants, herpetology, gopher tortoises and the ongoing sandhill habitat restoration project, kids’ activities, food trucks, and live music all centered around a huge native plant sale. It was created to celebrate diversity in the landscape. We invite you to spend a day with us, teaching about native plants, pollinators, wildlife, and why they are important.
