Youth Intro To Sailing: Gain hands-on sailing skills in this introductory youth sailing course, where students will explore the fundamentals of sailing. The curriculum covers boat components, wind awareness, upwind and downwind sailing techniques, tacking and gybing maneuvers, along with general safety skills. Conducted over a 3-hour duration, this class takes place on a sloop rigged Hunter 170, providing a comprehensive foundation for sailing enthusiasts.

Designed by the National Safe Boating Council, Skipper Club™ is uniquely tailored for teens eager to excel in on-water powerboating skills. Developed in collaboration with the U.S. Coast Guard, this youth boating course focuses on imparting essential safe boating knowledge to responsible young boaters.
For over 100 years, the Boy Scouts of America, now Scouts BSA, has played an important role in empowering our youth to take on the Great Outdoors! CFBA is committed to supporting that cause by providing youth sailing and boating programs that will give scouts the knowledge and skills to be safe on and off the water. Scouts can earn their Small-Boat Sailing and/or Motorboating Merit Badges with our Registered Merit Badge Counselors.
