IDEAS for us is a non-profit that also hosts a variety of volunteer opportunities for children to get involved in their local communities by brainstorming solutions to sustainability challenges, “breakout” activities, and monthly activities. IDEAS connects communities with a sustainability professional in an engaging workshop centered around one of our five focus areas: energy, water, food, waste, or ecology. Then, each Hive event culminates in direct eco-action projects open for community engagement. These outcomes include renewable energy trainings, shoreline restorations, tree plantings, urban agriculture projects, and more!
Children’s Ecology in Action Day meets every Tuesday morning, and our Naturalist Nature Walk Day (for kids!) is the first Saturday each month! Teachers can also Schedule A Free Climate Education Class With Us! We are offering 4 different climate education classes!
