No visit to the Orlando area is complete without a stop at our amazing Center! The Audubon Center focuses on the rescue, medical treatment, rehabilitation and release of Florida’s raptors. Grounding our roots in conservation, Audubon Center for Birds of Prey carries on that mission of protecting and saving Florida’s birds of prey. We invite you to experience our unique location, tucked along Lake Sybelia. Visitors can learn about the unique adaptations of raptors, challenges they face and the many ways to get involved with helping birds of prey and the important habitats and resources they depend on. With live bird ambassadors and hands-on activities, participants explore the relationship of people to their natural environment while discovering the role raptors play in our local ecosystems as well as how individuals can have a positive role in the environment. At the Center or at your location, you can experience the role raptors play in all of our lives. Audubon Center for Birds of Prey is home to over 50 non-releasable raptors. Each is an ambassador for their species and has a unique story of why they are here. Most of Florida’s raptors are found in our state year round. Visit the The Audubon House which represents a typical veranda bungalow built in the 1920s by a builder named Patterson.
