PaperMap Theater & Co.

PaperMap Theater & Co. is a boutique, rehearsal-centered youth theater studio located in the heart of Thornton Park near Lake Eola in Downtown Orlando.

We offer year-round theater productions for students ages 10–17, built around 4–6 week rehearsal cycles that emphasize collaboration, creativity, and meaningful performance experiences.

Students don’t just “put on a show.” They learn how stories are built, through character development, ensemble work, stage movement, and shared responsibility. Each production also includes exploration of technical theater elements such as costume design, props, scenic storytelling, and basic production mechanics so students understand how the full world of a play - classic or modern - comes together.

Our rehearsal process is educational at its core. We draw inspiration from a wide range of creative sources, including contemporary arts education practices and texts like The Creative Act, encouraging students to think about imagination, discipline, and artistic voice as part of their growth.

Each production cycle includes:
• 4–6 weeks of guided rehearsals
• Small cast sizes for individual attention
• Consistent weekly schedule
• Fully staged performances for family and community

We welcome beginners and experienced performers alike. No prior theater experience is required — just curiosity, commitment, and a willingness to collaborate.

Located in Downtown Orlando’s Thornton Park district, PaperMap Theater & Co. provides a focused and supportive environment where young artists grow in confidence, technical understanding, creativity, and connection.
