Winter Garden Police Explorer: The Winter Garden Police Explorer Program was created in 1980 to develop a positive Explorers with Flagsrelationship between police officers and the youth of our community. The Police Explorer Program is a co-educational program that is a division of the Boy Scouts of America, and is open to youths 14 to 21 years of age, regardless of gender, race or ethnicity who is of good moral character.
Winter Garden Police Explorers meet on Monday nights from 5:30 to 7 p.m, in the training room, at the Winter Garden Police Department located at 251 West Plant Street in Winter Garden. During this time, Explorers will be exposed to different aspects of law enforcement training, to include hands-on practice on the following topics:
- Basic Laws
- Crime Scene Investigation
- Fingerprinting
- First Aid
- Police Equipment
- Police Procedures
- Traffic Laws
