City of Apopka's Camp Wewa

The City of Apopka purchased this one-hundred-year-old camp from the YMCA in August 2021. Through partnerships with Lowe’s Home Improvement and the Friends of Camp Wewa, the City was able to revitalize the camp. The City of Apopka is excited to provide lifelong memories through camp, retreats, rentals, events, and outdoor education. We look forward to keeping the traditions that made this a popular destination.

Facilities include: Archery Range, Basketball Court, Cabins (Air-Conditioned), Camp, Canoeing, Climbing Wall, Dining Hall, Dock, Fishing, Gaga Pits, Hiking Trails, Junior Olympic Sized Pool, Kayaking, Kitchen, Lake, Low Roles (Team Building Course), Meeting Rooms, Outdoor Chapel, Overnight Accommodations, Pavilion, Trails, and Volleyball

Daily from 9 AM to 5 PM for visitors, guests can set up cabin rentals for overnight stays, book parties for special events. Facilities to rent include a dining hall, large pavilion with a fire pit, lake, ropes course and climbing wall, activity buildings and cabins, basketball courts, target areas, outdoor chapel, and a junior Olympic-sized pool.
