The Family Disability Navigator program provides families with school aged (3-22) children with disabilities, guidance on obtaining assessments, for children who have no formal disability diagnosis, are not currently receiving therapies and/or who have no IEP/504 plan in school to determine appropriate needs and interventions. Qualified agencies are identified, and referrals made to connect families to appropriate programs and services.

CIL is also proud to be a Regional Demonstration Center for Florida Alliance for Assistive Services Technology (FAAST), which allows us to provide access to loan and acquire assistive technology. There is a wide range of assistive technology device categories, such as: activities of daily living, adaptive toys and games, communication, computer access, environmental access, mobility, and seating and positioning
CIL’s Foundations to Freedom offers customized home modifications and durable medical and accessible equipment to eliminate the need to relocate to a facility, allowing individuals to age in place. By helping people with disabilities break down the physical barriers that prevent them from being able to safely access, stay, and enjoy living in their home individuals can maintain a high quality of life that has shown to improve mental and physical well being.
