In October 2016, Timucua Arts Foundation launched its first education initiative, Works With Sounds, to teach music composition to people of all ages and skill levels. The Timucua Arts Foundation was created by Benoit Glazer and Elaine Corriveau In September of 2000. There was nowhere to hear great music on Benoit’s nights off from performing with Cirque du Soleil, so the family began organizing concerts in their home. It was a humble beginning, with just a few concerts, and 20-40 people in attendance. As the concerts grew more popular, Benoit designed a new house from scratch with a 100-seat concert hall at its heart. The family moved into the new house in August 2007, and the foundation now presents up to 100 events each year.
