The Academy for Autism presently serves 47 school-age students at our new facility in South Orlando, purchased in the summer of 2014. Our goal is to serve up to 60 students. Our facility includes an on-site therapy clinic, where students receive therapy throughout the day in addition to participating in our educational program. The clinic also provides outpatient therapy. We provide a research-based special education curriculum designed to teach students with autism, developmental disabilities, and learning challenges. Our program includes an ABA approach to teaching and our classrooms are set up using the TEACCH Model. We pride ourselves in our collaborative approach in working with our parents, teachers, and therapists. This approach is what makes our program effective and allows our students to make great strides in their journey to reach their maximum potential.
We are a 501(c)(3) charity school, serving ages 5 through 21.
