FUMC Learning Center Preschool

The Learning Center at FUMC aims to provide a positive learning experience through developmentally appropriate and hands on learning in a loving Christian environment. Our philosophy is to instill self-confidence in children through programs that facilitate social-emotional, cognitive, and physical development. Each child will participate in age appropriate activities throughout the year to increase knowledge of God’s love; understand the importance of family and health; develop an appreciation of art, music and play; and to enhance basic preschool skills. Creative Curriculum for Preschool by Teaching Strategies, as well as an accumulation of a variety of other curricula basics that support hands on learning, center-filled activities and purposeful play. The classrooms are set up with centers: Block, Dramatic Play, Art, Writing, Language Arts and Discovery.
