University High School Performing Arts Magnet Program

This Performing Fine Arts magnet fosters students' artistic, academic, and personal development through a rigorous, performance-based curriculum in instrumental, vocal, dance, and theatrical arts. Students who desire a focus in a performing art, filled with an intense training that utilizes an academic integrated plan of study, will choose their performance area to hone their craft while growing as an individual performer and citizen. Performance choices will be based in the performing arts, such as instrument, vocal, dance, and theatre. Holding students to high, academic and artistic standards while fostering an atmosphere of mutual respect, collaboration, support, and acceptance, this magnet encourages individual creative pursuits as well as collaboration for the good of the ensemble.
