The Cambridge curriculum prepares students for life, helping them to develop an informed curiosity and a lasting passion for learning. The focus of the Cambridge Program at Colonial High School will provide an opportunity for high school students to explore a rigorous college preparatory program requiring knowledge, understanding, application and skills through research projects, investigation, written response as well as practical oral labs relying on student-supported perspectives.
The NAF Information Technology Magnet is affiliated with the international National Academy Foundation (NAF), based in New York City, New York. This magnet is designed to for the study, development, implementation, support and management of computer-based information systems. In their freshman year, students build their technology foundation in Introduction to Information Technology. During their sophomore year, students select one track in an area of concentration, IT Support (PC Support and Network Design), which is our Cyber Security track (CompTIA A+, Network+, and Security+ Certifications) or IT Communications (Digital Video Production and Digital Print Media).
