Boys and Girls Club of Central Florida

Every day after school and all summer long, our Club members from across Central Florida enter through our blue doors to discover the academic support, extracurricular enrichment, and adult role models that they need to become healthy, productive citizens. Our programming is designed not just to help children achieve competency in important academic areas, but to help them build self-confidence through discovering and developing their unique gifts and talents. At Boys & Girls Clubs of Central Florida, we believe in the model of the servant-leader. In our Clubs, children learn the joy that comes from helping their peers and in giving back to the community. Living a healthy lifestyle is about making good choices—not just nutrition and fitness, but setting goals and priorities, and avoiding common pitfalls that derail young people on the road to a productive adulthood. We know that the most important thing that children can do to prepare for the future is to stay in school and to do well in their studies. We offer a variety of programs that introduce them to the many career and educational opportunities and help them make plans for their future. We know that nationally, there is a strong correlation between poor health and poverty. At Boys & Girls Clubs of Central Florida, our Club members disconnect from their screens to experience the benefits of exercise, teamwork, and engagement with others.
