DESCRIPTION;ENCODING=QUOTED-PRINTABLE:The Central Florida Scottish Highland Games, the largest community event in
  Seminole County, organized each year by the Scottish-American Society of C
 entral Florida, was created to promote and preserve Scottish heritage. Each
  January, the two-day gathering welcomes thousands of visitors to Central W
 inds Park in Winter Springs. The festival begins on Saturday with competiti
 ons in Scottish heavy athletics, Highland dance, bagpiping, and baking. The
  weekend hosts cultural activities, including Border Collie demonstrations,
  Scottish clans, musical performances, a medieval camp, ax throwing, and mo
 re. There is also the popular Boulder Boogie event, where contestants vie f
 or bragging rights of carrying the heaviest stone the farthest distance wit
 hout dropping it. Our festival is a family-friendly event featuring a non-c
 ompetitive “Kids Games” version of Scottish athletics and other activities.
  We feature the best Celtic artisans presenting jewelry, clothing, artistry
 , weaponry, and more. There is plenty of food and drink: beer, wine, whiske
 y, fish-n-chips, scotch-egg, and even haggis tacos. The whiskey tasting wel
 comes attendees to sample expertly curated rare and unique whiskies. The Ce
 ilidh, (Scottish gathering) features multiple Celtic-rock bands, all includ
 ed with admission. There is something for everyone at the Central Florida S
 cottish Highland Games.
