 serve! Have you ever wondered why the Oakland Nature Preserve focuses on re
 storing the Uplands trails? Or who was living in Central Florida before the
  Europeans? How about, what makes gopher tortoises so important? Join our v
 olunteer docents for a guided walk through our Uplands trails to discover t
 he “Real Florida.” We will be exploring the significance of our Uplands eco
 systems, point out some unique plants and animals, & dive into our Native A
 merican history. Please dress for the weather with sun and bug protection. 
 We also recommend close toed shoes and bringing a hat and reusable water bo
 ttle. In case of inclement weather, we will contact all participants the mo
 rning of the walk with more information.<br /><br />Running select Saturday
