Join the Young Naturalist Explorers to uncover how frogs create their croaks and learn to identify wetland species by sound at Mead Garden. Join our Young Naturalist Explorers to learn all about Frogs & Their Calls! On Saturday, March 14th from 9:30–11:00 AM, our explorers will dive into the fascinating world of frog communication. Participants will learn how frogs create their croaks, ribbits, and trills, experiment to mimic different calls, and practice identifying local frog species by sound. Through hands-on activities and guided outdoor exploration in Mead Botanical Garden, children will tune into the Garden’s natural chorus and discover why frog calls play such an important role in communication and survival. Get ready to listen closely, learn together, and leap into discovery!
