Wekiva Island

Wekiva Island located in Longwood, Florida along the Wekiva River offers canoe, kayak, & paddleboard rentals, cabana rentals, and a beer & wine bar! Everything is FREE and the charge is just $2 to enter the Island. What better way to cool off than to jump in the river!? Wekiva River remains a constant 72 degrees all year round and guests are welcome to enjoy swimming along the boardwalk area or in other designated swimming locations along the river. Outside floats are welcome. Large floats will be charged a small fee.

Canoeing/Kayak is one of the most popular water activities here at Wekiva Island. Launch your own free or we have over two hundred available for rent at your convenience. Rentals are on a first come, first-serve basis. At Wekiva Island, we want our river to be a home to you. Bring your boat and plan your adventure on the river, relaxing and taking in the sights. Volleyball is a favorite group activity on the island. Our regulation sized sand volleyball court is located behind The Tooting Otter (bar) and is available for groups to reserve. We have bleachers for friends or bystanders to cheer on their team – whether you’re playing competitively or for just your own recreation.
