Azalea Gardens

This 5.22-acre public garden is located on the shore of Lake Maitland and is open year round. Lakefront, secluded and unique, Kraft Azalea is Winter Park’s secret garden! This beautiful park is shaded by enormous cypress trees that add to the old Florida charm of the 13-acre property. Kraft Azalea Garden is home to a great egret rookery?
The great egret is the second largest wading bird that is common to the lakes of Winter Park. We do occasional get visits from larger wood storks and sandhill cranes! Kraft Azalea Garden is also home to a very large banyan tree! The banyan tree is native to India, It is often planted around temples and is considered sacred by both Hindus and Buddhists.
