Mead Gardens Young Naturalist Summer Camp

Where do kids go for good old fashioned summer fun? Mead Garden’s Young Naturalist Summer Camp! The only official Summer Camp at Mead Garden! Creeks and critters… birds and butterflies… wildlife and wetlands…rain barrels and reptiles… pine trees and pollinators… going green and getting grimy! Does your child love nature, plants, animals, birds, bugs, butterflies and exploring the great outdoors? Then they will love the Young Naturalist Summer Camp at Mead Botanical Garden! At the Young Naturalist Summer Camp, campers will have fun interacting with nature in the beautiful and unique setting of Mead Botanical Garden. With a running creek, hiking trails, tall pine trees, a greenhouse, butterfly garden and large pond that’s home to turtles, fish and wading birds, Mead Botanical garden is true hidden treasure. There’s so much for campers to do, see and experience every day. The spacious “Discovery Barn” serves as the camp base headquarters where arts, crafts, environmental activities, gardening and games take place. Throughout the week, visiting experts and certified naturalists bring mammals, reptiles, insects and interesting plants for campers to learn about and see up close. Young naturalist campers explore Mead Garden’s unique wildlife habitats, hike the wetlands boardwalk, play games, learn fun survival skills and engage in age-appropriate arts & crafts.
