Hike it Baby branches like this one are real life communities created to help families get outside, hiking with birth to school age kids. We count on our community members to join us when the weather is great and when it isn’t. We count on our ambassadors and hike hosts to plan awesome hikes. Our branches are only as strong and active as our ambassadors and members, so please help us keep this community hiking by getting out there by attending and hosting hikes. Hike it Baby creates opportunities and removes barriers to access so families with babies and young children can take their first steps outside. We believe all families have the right to connect with nature, benefit from spending time outdoors, and be inspired to a lifelong love of nature. Our efforts are focused on families with babies and young children. We encourage all families, including those that may not have experience or have felt welcome in the outdoors, to take their first steps outside. We acknowledge that families come in all different shapes and sizes and we define parenthood as any person who cares for a baby or child. We empower all families to build a lifetime love of the outdoors which will benefit the planet and all humans in the long run.
