We strive to help children develop their competence in language, speech, and communication skills.
Our goals are:
· Improve speech, language, communication, reading,, writing, and comprehension abilities.
· Increase parent, caregivers and teacher’s awareness of speech and language development and skills.
· Collaborate with parents, caregivers, and teachers to help children reach their full potential.
Children need to properly develop their speech and language skills to help them learn and grow, both scholastically and socially. They must be able to understand vocabulary words and phrases, express their thoughts, and produce age-appropriate speech that will be understood by teachers, family, and peers. Also they need to learn ways to communicate effectively, either verbally or with augmentative/alternative devices. Horizon Speech & Language Therapy provides help to children who show developmental need to improve their speech and/or language skills in their natural environment.
