The parcel is 464 acres in size and the types of habitats located on the parcel are Pine Flatwoods, Freshwater Marshes, Sandhill, and the littoral zone of Lake Mary Jane.
Providing access to the floodplain forest along Lake Mary Jane, the Green Trail is one of two separate trails through the 550-acre Isle of Pine Preserve, tucked away at the south end of the Isle of Pine subdivision. In addition to views across Lake Mary Jane, a highlight of this hike is the bog at the south end, where large carnivorous sundew plants thrive.
