COMMUNITY OUTREACH MINISTRY OPPORTUNITY – Sunday, May 19, 9am to 3pm
Volunteer to serve at our CONWAY COMMUNITY MARKET Booth at Barber Park. We will have prayer cards, FREE Community Events flyers to invite people to Delaney Street Baptist Church, and lots of other give-aways! This is a great way to minister to and serve our community! The market is one Sunday a month, from September through May, gathering for fun, food, shopping, entertainment, and community! Features are food trucks, vendors, entertainment, kids story time, live music, Free admission, and ample parking! Monthly market themes are listed below. Want to Volunteer? Click this link: Event Sign Up to volunteer with setup, breakdown and manning our booth! Setup from 9-10am, serve at the booth anytime from 10am to 2pm, Breakdown is from 2-2:30pm.
May 19, 2024 – Theme: Children’s Art in the Park, Kids vendors, art show, etc.
Delaney Street Baptist Church will be at Booth #25, giving away:
– FREE SAND ART Crosses (make and take)
– Cookie Decorating (make and take)
– Water
– Prayer cards
– Dog treat
– Chalk Art Hopscotch in front of our booth
Create a masterpiece with chalk art creations! Also, bring an art masterpiece from home to be displayed during the market and then the art will be judged by a local professional artist to win a prize!
At the Market:
Enjoy our glorious vendors! Bring the whole family and come for lunch and an afternoon of entertainment. Food trucks and a great line up of snack and food vendors. Creative vendors selling unique gifts and crafts. Have a fun walk around the duck pond, grab a new treasure, visit the playground or the dog park, eat lunch, make some art, and enjoy the music from a DJ! Free admission and free, ample parking.

MEGA CAMP SIGN-UP – For Volunteers and Participants
Sign up to serve at our MEGA Kids Summer Camp. Sign up at the Welcome Center on Sunday, or online at delaneychurch.com/kids. KIDS have your parents register you on our website at delaneychurch.com/kids. Invite your friends to join in the fun!!!! Our MEGA Camp is Monday through Friday, July 8-12, from 6-8:30pm. VOLUNTEERS, sign up with the link above and join the fun!!! Note: Volunteers must be Delaney Church members.
LADIES BIBLE STUDY – Thursday at 6pm
Looking for a community of women to hang out with? Ladies Bible Study is starting BACK at Delaney Street Baptist Church, beginning Thursday 5/9/25 and will meet on Thursdays for 10 weeks from 6-7:30pm in Room C101.
This is for women of all ages, who are hungry to know God more and want to be with a great group of women who want good things (GOD things) for each other! Now is the PERFECT time to jump in and join in! We’ll be studying Bad Girls of the Bible, and what we can learn from them! It is Free to join, and you can purchase the book by Liz Curtis Higgs, for $4 to $17. Explore the lives of ten of the Bible’s best-known femmes fatales. From Eve to Jezebel to Delilah, each woman’s story and struggles come to life, as Liz brings home this vital truth: “No one is good—except God alone” (Luke 18:19). SENIOR ADULT TRIP/OUTING – Saturday, May 11 at 10:30am
Attention Adults 55+ and friends, enjoy our monthly event. We will meet in the church back parking lot at 10:30am to ride together and be back at the church around 3pm. If you need wheelchair assistance, please let us know ahead of time. We will travel to Winter Park for lunch at Dinky Dock, and then tour Rollins Art Museum. Bring along a friend, a chair, and a sack lunch.
MUFFINS WITH MOM – Sunday, May 12 at 9:20am
DELANEY KIDS, start Mother’s Day with your mom at MUFFINS WITH MOM. For Kids up to grade 5 and their moms. Meet in the Kids Church Room at 9:20am.
CHILD DEDICATION – Contact the church office to have your child(ren) dedicated on Mother’s Day.
It’s exciting when a child enters a family, and there’s no greater moment when parents sense that children are a gift from God. In these joyful moments, parents have the privilege of expressing their full appreciation to God through dedication. Dedicating a child acknowledges God’s sovereignty not only over the child, but also Mom and Dad. Parents present their child before God and His people asking for grace and wisdom in carrying out their responsibilities. Parents also come praying that their child might one day trust Jesus Christ as Savior for the forgiveness of sin. If you would like to participate and have your child/children dedicated at our Mother’s Day Service, please let us know. MOTHERS DAY SERVICE – SUNDAY, May 12 at 11am
We invite you to join us for this very special service honoring Moms and Mother figures! We will have a special gift for all the ladies! We will also have Child Dedications, and an awesome photo booth with props for you and your mom, grandma, aunt, sister, or any other special woman in your life to snap some unforgettable shots with in the courtyard!!!
Mother’s Day is time to celebrate all of the wonderful mothers out there for the beautiful reflections of God that they are. They have guided us, they are patient, they forgive us, and they’re present. Most of all, they have loved us unconditionally as only someone filled with God’s love could. Thank you to mothers and mother-figures on Mother’s Day, and every day! We love you!

SENIOR ADULT MONTHLY LUNCHEON – Thursday, May 16 at 12:30pm
Attention Adults 55+ and friends, enjoy our monthly Third Thursday Luncheon. – “Ask Us Anything” Q&A with Pastors Michael and Jeff. Come prepared with questions for Pastors Michael & Jeff about anything: the Bible, life as a senior, our church, or even their favorite colors. Come enjoy some good friends and good food. Bring yourself, a friend, and a delicious dish (with food in it) to share.

STUDENTS FUGE SUMMER CAMP – Important Dates
Summer 2024 FUGE camp at Ridgecrest NC ($375). Initial Deposit of $100 due April 1, 2024. 2nd payment of $100 due May 1. Final Payment due June 1. There is a MANDATORY Parent and Camper Meeting: May 22, 2024 7:30pm @ Upper Room.
DAY OF REMEMBRANCE – Sunday, May 26 at 11 am
Memorial Day Weekend we will look back at the flames that shined brightly through the years at Delaney Street Baptist Church, remembering those lives that we loved and lost last year. We will honor their influence and legacy. Their lives inspired us to shine brightly for the Lord then, now and into the future, and the fires of their devotion light our way! Delaney has always had a long tradition in our country’s armed forces. Please join us for this very special service honoring and remembering the brave men and women who died while serving in the country’s armed forces. “Oh may all who come behind us find us faithful, may the fire of our devotion light their way. May the footprints that we leave lead them to believe, And the lives we live inspire them to obey.”
STUDENT MINISTRY GOLF TOURNAMENT – Saturday, June 1 at 8am
SAVE THE DATE – This year’s Student Ministry Golf fundraising tournament will be June 1st at Remington Golf Club in Kissimmee (2995 Remington Blvd. Kissimmee, FL 34744.) Cost is $75 per golfer, which includes range balls and a hamburger lunch. We will of course, have goodie bags and door prizes to give away! Deadline to sign up is May 29th. Hole Sponsorships are available. All proceeds from this event help support the Delaney Student Ministry, providing funding and scholarships for their Summer Camp. Click to register.

We will travel to Winter Park to tour The Holocaust Memorial Resource and Education Center of Florida, and then enjoy a late lunch at Buca di Beppo Italian Restaurant. Both are in Maitland, FL.
Ice Cream and Fireworks Independence Party/Social – Wednesday, July 3, 6:30-8:30pm
We’re having an amazing Community Star-Spangled Celebration with Yard Games, Hot Dogs, Marshmallows, Ice Cream and Fireworks! Bring Ice Cream and fixings to share and a Lawn chair. This is a FREE event and will be held in the Gym and Back Parking Lot.
