Parent/Camper Testimonials

- Cristina S., Parent, (4th Grade)

“The Highlander Summer program has been a fantastic way for my daughter to stay engaged through the summer and build friendships. There is a diverse selection of academic, social and athletic camps that makes for a well-rounded experience. In addition to this, the precautions they have taken to keep my daughter safe during these times give me great peace of mind.”

- Kelly G., Parent (Kindergarten)

“Highlander Summer has been the best choice for us. Parker comes home so excited to talk about his day and loves all of the different activities. The programs are so well thought out and I love that he is learning while having fun. We couldn’t be happier with all of the staff and are so grateful to have the summer program.”

- Kristin A., Parent (Kindergarten)

“Summer 2020 came with great challenges, but LHPS rose to the occasion in a way that made our family feel safe. Micah enjoyed Biking for the Soul with Betsy Eveland. Not only did he learn confidence riding on two wheels, but he enjoyed the outdoors and comradery of riding on the Orlando City Trail with friends. We still visit the old tree by the Science Center, where he always shares fond memories of climbing it with his biking pals.”

- Kerri M., Parent (2nd and 3rd Grade)

“The camps at Lake Highland are my kids’ favorite part of summer. If they had their way, they would be there every week! There is so much variety; from sports camps to interest camps like Art and STEM- and my kids love them all! “

- Carminita I., Parent

“Mya has loved participating in Lake Highland’s summer camps over the years. The choices are endless ranging from sports to arts to academics. She has thoroughly enjoyed attending Art Camps and has signed up for several summers. Ms. Juaristi does an amazing job exposing the kids to all sorts of art mediums which has expanded Mya’s interest in art dramatically.”

– Julie L., Parent (1st grade)

“Carys loved the LHP tennis camps this past summer. She met new friends in different grades and had so much fun with them each day. I liked her getting the exposure to different coaches, picking up pointers that she may not get in her lessons. Coach Dave told her she was a super-fast runner, and he inspired her to start running for fun with that comment! I’m grateful that LHP has fun and skill building summer camps. It makes it easy to put together our summer schedule!”

– Amber R., Parent (4th and 5th Grades)
